Iran’s smuggling-for-nukes Program

Sad man Hussein and the UN had the oil-for-food program, which became a scandal.  Now, the London Sunday Times (subscription required) offers that Iran has fronted a smuggling-for-nukes program which ironically enough, has showed up in a UN Security Council report (although the report’s release is currently being blocked by Russia and China).

The Iranian deception is characterized as willful and continuing.  Mentioned banned items that Iran has been caught with include a main ingredient for rocket propellant and also the high explosive RDX (mixed in among a shipment of milk powder; high explosives…they’re for the children).  The implication is there’s much more beyond these two specific items, as shipments bound for Iran have been seized in Italy, Turkey, Singapore, and South Korea.

So what’s the big deal?  Iran is all about a peaceful nuclear program, according to President I’m a dinner jacket.

Iran’s Revolutionary Guard is steeped in the process, which entails front companies, financing, concealment, shipping, and more.  Where are the Counterrevolutionary Guards when you need them?
