The New York Times is actually criticizing the UN.

The reason: the UN is pondering Syrian membership on the United Nations Human Rights Council.

The Times criticizing the UN?  Are the end times near?

No; the Times is attempting to protect the “credibility” of the UN.

Credibility, eh?  Like the fact that Libya, until a couple of months ago, was itself a member of the Human Rights Council?

This is all reminiscent of Don Lockwood in Singin’ In The Rain "I’ve had one motto I’ve always lived by: Dignity. Always dignity.”

dignity, always dignity
