ATK is still making money with space products. Just not as much as before.
Aerospace systems (read space systems, the solids for the shuttle program) are down 12 percent for the year as the program faces fly-out.
Missile product sales fell 11 percent for the year.
So how is ATK making a go of it? The “security and sporting” part of the company (commercial ammunition and tactical accessories) grew 22 percent.
