Desperate ads for desperate agendas?

I think this video call be placed into the reductio ad absurdum category.

I love the countdown.  It’s in English, so does that mean: 1) we’re nuking someone else,  2) Russia does nuclear countdowns in English, or 3) nuclear terrorists will do nuclear countdown ops in English?

  1. H. Nelson says:

There is a large misconception that Russia and the United States are on some kind of Hair Trigger Alert, and that inspectors are the thin line between us and nuclear war. If we want safer nukes and a more stable posture, we need to modernize. New warheads, command and control systems, and delivery vehicles are needed ASAP.

  2. Fred says:

The countdown represents time and in this case urgency since the advert is calling on viewer action. I think it is a fair call to point out that Soviet era stockpiles are now potentially less secure during storage and transport as a result of this policy inaction.
