Sharing Is Caring: UK and France in Nuclear Warhead Talks

In a logical follow-up to the idea of sharing naval forces, the UK and France are looking at sharing nuclear warhead servicing.

…the governments are close to agreeing that Britain would use a French laboratory to help maintain and service its 160 nuclear warheads, officials in both countries say.

The reason?  Such an endeavor would

…save money at a time when their defence budgets are under stress.

In addition to the 160, what sort of level of effort are we talking about?

…France’s Commissariat à l’Energie Atomique, which maintains about 300 warheads….

I’m confused: is this nuclear proliferation or anti-proliferation or it is none-of-the-above?
