Dr. Bob Butterworth, distinguished scholar and Chief of Air Force Space Command’s Strategic Planning, Policy, and Doctrine shop today addressed the Air War College’s Space Elective.  Bob’s subject of address was the space industrial base to include space procurement and the history/backstory of these endeavors as well as possible ways ahead.

In addition to our students, it was a pleasure to be joined by the new Director of the National Space Studies Center, USAF Col MV “Coyote” Smith, Col Smith’s Associate Director, Dr. John Sheldon, and the new Air Force Space Command Chair to Air University, Col Steve Winters who recently arrived from his duties as the Vice Commander of the 30th Space Wing at Vandenberg.

Bob, you did an outstanding job and we’ll welcome you back at any time!  Thanks for supporting the Air War College students in such a superior manner!
