The zombie spacecraft also known as Galaxy 15 is still alive, or depending on how you look at it, undead. Thought to be roached-out by a massive solar storm in April, Galaxy 15 has not responded to commands in months and was thought to be a goner by August or September.
Instead, the expected reaction wheel saturation hasn’t yet occurred and as such, it continues to drift eastward about one degree longitude every five days.
Frequency fratricide with other geo satellites–Galaxy 15’s C-band system is still broadcasting–has to date been avoided.
Zombiesat is alive!!!! Too good…
Your awesome humor, the way you artistically twist a phrase, your incredible insight into current events and the deep thought you provoke on serious issues — all reasons why I keep coming back to this blog time after time.
Well done!!
